Total Hip Replacements – This is a surgical procedure performed on an arthritic hip that is painful when walking and has limited range of motion. It involves inserting a metal component with a ball at the end into the thigh bone, and a plastic cup into the hip socket. Treatment works to regain range of motion, walking and muscle strength.
